Once you’ve started your studies at CACC, you’ll be matched with a Placement Coordinator who will serve as your primary point of contact throughout your work term. With extensive knowledge of the organizations and locations where our students work, your Coordinator will be equipped to assist you effectively. Rest assured that you’ll always have a dedicated advocate in your corner.
Within the first month of your classes, your Placement Coordinator will introduce themselves to you with a list of required documents. These coordinators will help you find a Placement Site that meets all the requirements of your chosen program. Additionally, beyond aiding first-time Placement students, our Placement advisors extend their guidance to all CACC students, offering valuable insights on various career-related topics.

IMPORTANT:
This is a blended course divided into an online section and in-person training. You are required to complete both sections to attain the certification.
This course develops essential life-saving skills and knowledge. Learn how to recognize the initial signs of common ailments and emergencies, such as choking, anaphylaxis, and cardiac arrest among other things. Gain practical knowledge about how to perform CPR and administer the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, and babies.
All of our Placement programs that work with Vulnerable Populations (elderly/ children/other vulnerable groups)are mandated to complete the CPR Level c certification.
This course is approved by WSlB
Food Handler Certificate
Those in the Food Service Industry require a Food Handler Certificate, The enrolled students must complete the Food Safety Training Course which covers the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to handle food safely. The training broadly covers methods of sanitation, and storage, understanding food allergies, and so on. The Food Handler Certificate facilitated by CAC is entirely online and can be completed by the students remotely.

Mask Fit Test
All Personal Support Worker students are required to undergo an appropriate qualitative mask fit test (respirator). Your placement coordinator will arrange the Mask Fit Test for you to come to the college and complete at an appropriate time close to your placement start date.
It is essential to ensure that you are fitted for the3M N95 model, as it is widely utilized and supplied by many of our placement agency partners, including hospitals, Long-Term Care facilities, and other healthcare settings.
Your mask fit test certificate card must display the issue and expiry date, mask model, type, and size, and it is valid for a period of two years.
