In response to the software industry’s demand for rigorous testing, this module is crafted to impart comprehensive knowledge of software testing, covering fundamentals to structured methodologies. Topics include manual testing theories, creating test trees, and identifying bugs. Key testing concepts such as Regression, GUI, Security, and User Acceptance Testing, along with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), will be explored. Students will have the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in real-life projects.

Upon completing this module, students are expected to comprehend the basics of structured software testing methodologies.

Objectives:

  2. Describe the test documentation involved in software testing.

  5. Discuss the criteria for inspection and the timing of reviews.
  6. List the four variations of inspections and reviews.
  7. Explain the roles involved in the static testing process.
  8. Discuss the elements constituting the static testing process.
  9. Describe the tools used in static analysis.

Upon completing this module, students should be adept at conducting full-scale testing of a product before its release to the customer.
