CCNP Enterprise Core – ENCOR 350-401

CCNP Enterprise Core – ENCOR 350-401:

This subject introduces students to the concepts of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching, providing them with the knowledge to configure and optimize routing domains using OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, PBR, IP SLA, and implementing secure routing solutions for branch offices and mobile workers.

Knowledge Core Competency Objectives:

  1. Design, apply, authenticate, and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks.
  2. Implement scalable multilayer switched networks.
  3. Use advanced IP addressing and routing for scalability in Cisco routers connected to LANs and WANs.
  4. Discuss campus network design, including network structure, roles of Cisco Catalyst switches, and differences between Layer 2 and multilayer switches.
  5. Explain VLANs, VTP, Trunking, and port-channeling.
  6. Implement inter VLAN routing using Switch Virtual Interfaces.
  7. Describe Software Design Network and automation tools.
  8. Describe enterprise wireless networking and wireless authentication.
  9. Secure network access control and infrastructure security.

Skill Core Competency Objectives:

  1. Explain complex network requirements and design models for implementing advanced routing and switching services in an enterprise network.
  2. Implement VLANs in campus networks.
  3. Implement software-defined networks.
  4. Implement LAN security features and inter-VLAN communication using SVI.
  5. Plan and prepare for advanced services in a campus infrastructure and wireless network.
  6. Use a holistic approach to network management and Cisco Catalyst device security with AAA, NTP, 802.1x, and SNMP.

Upon completing this subject, students are expected to possess the skills and knowledge required not only to design, apply, authenticate, and troubleshoot enterprise networks but also to perform maintenance functions and develop a troubleshooting process for identifying and resolving problems in complex enterprise networks.
