Skill Core Competency Objectives: Upon completion of this subject, a student is expected to perform analysis and treatments of the skin using laser hair removal techniques and machines.

  1. Apply the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the skin for skin analysis.
  2. Perform laser hair removal treatments on the skin.
  3. Perform treatment of sun-damaged skin, wrinkles, pigmented and vascular lesions, hair, and tattoo removal.
  4. Use business fundamentals to operate a laser and light business.
  5. Perform pre-treatment procedures using laser and light therapy.
  6. Observe laser and light therapy safety procedures.
  7. Identify skin types before conducting laser treatments.
