In this module, you will acquire essential skills in using the Internet for efficient and secure work in a medical office setting. A proficient Medical Office Administrator (MOA) should be able to navigate the Internet, use email effectively, and ensure internet security.

Knowledge Core Competency: Upon completing this module, you will be well-versed in using the internet effectively and safely.

Objectives:

  1. Explain the underlying structure of the internet.
  2. Describe how to connect to the internet.
  3. Understand the process of email delivery over the internet.
  4. Define HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).
  5. Discuss the concept of internet search engines.
  6. Identify popular internet tools.
  7. Explain how Music Sharing and File Sharing work.
  8. List major steps to protect oneself on the internet.
