Virtual Events:

In this subject, students will explore the significant transformations in the events business in recent years. They will develop plans to transition their in-person events to digital/online formats, reimagining the structure, timeline, and sponsorships. Students will learn to conceive and execute effective virtual events from various perspectives.

Knowledge Core Competency: Upon completion of this subject, a student is expected to discuss the fundamentals of virtual events, covering the selection of the right platform, choosing optimal speakers, enhancing speaker performance in a virtual setting, understanding associated costs, promoting the event, and addressing common pitfalls of virtual events.

  2. Identify the six key benefits of hosting virtual events.
  3. Explain the major differences between in-person and virtual events.
  4. List the format, features, and platforms to consider for virtual events.
  5. Discuss the importance of speaker preparation for virtual events.
  6. Identify different types of virtual events.
