This subject serves as an introduction to QuickBooks Pro, a small business accounting package, providing insights into simplified day-to-day accounting transactions, individual financial entries, and advanced tools for business management.

Knowledge Core Competency: Upon completing this course, students should be proficient in explaining QuickBooks Pro, performing company setup, utilizing inventory management, and conducting payroll analysis.

Objectives:

  1. Perform company setup, Chart of Accounts, and QuickBooks list.
  2. Set up Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable, and Sales Tax.
  3. Configure Payroll and time tracking.
  4. Manage Inventory, including setting up items, ordering, receiving, and adjusting.
  5. Analyze financial data by creating, customizing, and saving reports.
  6. Customize forms and compose QuickBooks business letters.

Skill Core Competency: Upon completion, students should be adept at utilizing system functions and working effectively with QuickBooks software in various accounting environments.

Objectives:

  1. Set up new accounts, work with lists, and manage bank accounts.
  2. Record sales, create invoices, receive payments, and make bank deposits.
  3. Set up employees in the payroll system and generate payroll for the organization.
  4. Analyze financial data and create user-meaningful reports.
  5. Set up and manage inventory, monitoring inventory activity.
  6. Communicate using software pre-loaded templates.
  7. Write letters and create new forms as required.
