This course introduces students to QuickBooks Online, a small business accounting package, and provides hands-on experience in performing essential day-to-day accounting transactions and individual financial entries. The focus is on understanding how accounting information is generated and utilized for key decision-making.
Knowledge Core Competency:
Upon completing this course, students should be able to discuss the use of QuickBooks computerized accounting software for setting up a company’s accounting activities, implementing Inventory Management, and conducting Payroll Analysis.
Objectives:
- Explain the process of company setup, Chart of Accounts, and QuickBooks list.
- Describe how to set up Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Sales Tax.
- Outline the steps for setting up Payroll and tracking time.
- Discuss Inventory Management, covering the setup of items, ordering, receiving, and adjusting.
- Explain how to analyze financial data, create, customize, and save reports.
- Describe how to customize forms and write QuickBooks business letters.
