BA - Digital Marketing
Digital Marketing:
This course equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop a comprehensive strategy for digital communications and the effective use of social media to achieve business goals. It covers various aspects, including marketing, podcasting, blogging, video marketing, mobile strategies, and community management. The course is instructor-led in a classroom setting, utilizing diverse tools such as lectures, YouTube videos, class discussions, group activities, individual/group presentations, projects, field trips, role-playing, and open class dialogue.
Knowledge Core Competency:
Upon completing this subject, students will possess extensive knowledge of the social media landscape, different social platforms, industry best practices, and community management. They will also be able to articulate a social media plan, moderate their own blog, develop a podcast script, and record a podcast.

- Define a social media marketing strategy.
- Explain the inclusion of platforms in a marketing mix based on business objectives.
- Describe the process of moderating a WordPress Blog.
- Explain the scripting and production of a podcast.
- Outline the steps to open and moderate an account on any unfamiliar social media platform.
- Describe the selection of an appropriate social media platform based on business objectives and audience.
- Explain how to build a social media strategy and content calendar for a business.
