Business Intelligence:

This subject guides students in creating a cohesive business intelligence (BI) plan that aligns with the organization’s user needs and effectively implements the plan to maximize BI potential. The objective is to shift from a reactive data environment to a proactive one.

Knowledge Core Competency:

Upon completing this subject, students are expected to articulate the business case for BI and identify solutions for common obstacles leading to BI project failures.

Objectives:

  1. Define appropriate expectations and goals for a BI project.
  2. List key components of a comprehensive BI solution and understand their interconnection.
  3. Justify BI solutions.
  4. Discuss the importance of end-user support and productivity in BI.
