This subject will guide students in mastering the types of tasks they are likely to encounter in a professional office environment. Additionally, the course focuses on validating skills with the Microsoft Office Suite system to successfully execute specific projects and tasks based on the needs of the workplace.

Knowledge Core Competency: Upon completion of this course, students will be expected to professionally utilize required features of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Objectives:

  2. Discuss how to edit and format a Word document.
  3. Discuss how to work with Word tables and mail merge.
  4. Discuss how to communicate with and produce professional papers.
  5. Discuss concepts of an Excel spreadsheet.

  7. Discuss how to manage large volumes of data in Excel.
  8. Discuss how to create a PowerPoint presentation.
  9. Discuss how to plan and prepare a PowerPoint presentation.
  10. Discuss how to use PowerPoint illustrations and infographics.
