Purpose
Canadian All Care College (CACC) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and consistent admissions process that supports student success and institutional integrity. The purpose of this policy is to establish clear admission standards and procedures that ensure applicants possess the academic readiness and motivation necessary to successfully complete their chosen program.
This policy also ensures that admissions practices comply with applicable regulatory requirements and institutional policies.
Scope
This policy will apply to all prospective students who apply to CACC programs and admissions and student services staff.
Non-Discrimination
CACC is committed to providing equal opportunities for all individuals and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status in the admission process.
Entrance requirements
To be admitted to an academic program at CACC, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age at the start of the program
· Possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
Applicants who do not possess an OSSD may qualify as mature students if they successfully complete the required admissions assessments.
Applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency sufficient to participate in the program of study.
Mandatory Assessments
Applicants to CACC academic programs are required to complete several assessments to assist with the selection process. Assessment results will be used to offer admission.
- Pre-admissions information session
Applicants are scheduled for interviews with a Admissions Officer. They are all provided with the same information, and they are encouraged to ask questions at the end of the session.
If applicants are interested in moving forward, they are invited to appear for the following admission tests:
- Admissions tests
Scholastic Level Exam (SLE)
The test will assess a student’s ability to answer questions in a written format and capacity to understand and follow directions. It includes reading comprehension, math, science, career awareness, and reasoning-type questions. The SLE will be conducted on campus under the supervision of the admissions officer. We do not provide a breakdown of the question type beyond what has been provided here.
Program-Specific Written Entrance Exam (NACC Programs)
Certain programs accredited by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) require applicants to complete a written entrance examination as part of the admissions assessment process. The written entrance exam is designed to evaluate the applicant’s ability to read, comprehend, and respond to a short English passage, followed by multiple-choice questions. The purpose of this assessment is to ensure that applicants possess the minimum language comprehension skills necessary to successfully participate in the program. The test will be conducted on campus under the supervision of the Admissions Officer to ensure the integrity and proper administration of the assessment. All results will be documented and retained in the applicant’s admissions file in accordance with the College’s record retention procedures.
Applicants must successfully meet the minimum entrance exam requirements before being admitted into the applicable NACC program.
Identity Verification
Applicants must present valid government-issued identification prior to:
- Completing admissions assessments
- Signing the enrolment contract
Identity verification ensures the integrity of the admissions process.
Integrity of Entrance Examinations
All entrance examinations must be completed independently by the applicant under the supervision of the Admissions Officer.
Applicants are not permitted to receive assistance from other individuals or use unauthorized materials during the assessment.
If there is reasonable suspicion that an entrance examination has been completed dishonestly or with unauthorized assistance, the College reserves the right to:
- invalidate the examination results
- require the applicant to retake the assessment under supervision
- deny admission to the program if academic integrity concerns cannot be resolved
All incidents related to suspected academic misconduct during the admissions assessment process will be documented and retained in the applicant’s admissions record.
Admissions Process
After the admissions interview, information review, and any required admissions testing are completed, applicants who successfully meet the admissions requirements may proceed with the enrolment process.
Admission into a program is confirmed once the applicant has met the required eligibility criteria and has completed and signed the Enrolment Contract in accordance with institutional and regulatory requirements:
Domestic Students/ International Students (Residing in Canada)
1. Demonstrated that they are at least 18 years of age
2. Submitted Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) (Required to pass Scholastic
Level Exam with a minimum score (depending on the program of choice’s required
passing mark out of 50) if OSSD is not provided)
3. Passed Program specific Literacy Exam (NACC) with a minimum score of 60%
Or International Students (Residing outside of Canada)
1. Demonstrated that they are at least 18 years of age
2. Valid Study Permit
3. Submitted Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) (if residing in Canada) or
equivalency report (Required to pass Scholastic Level Exam with a minimum score
(depending on the program of choice’s required passing mark out of 50) if OSSD is not
provided)
Additional Requirements
Some programs require a Police Check (criminal or vulnerable) and a clear immunization record before the start date, including proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
Note for Prospective Students
Admissions tests are evaluated using standardized answer keys. Scores from the tests are used to determine which individuals move to the next phase of the selection process and differentiate applicants whose scores are lower than the established guidelines.
- The applicant will be admitted if scores from the selection process for both tests are above or within the established guidelines.
- If scores from the selection process for both tests are below the guidelines, the applicant will be declined admission to the program.

- Applicants with OSSD are exempt from writing one of the admissions tests (SLE.) However, they must write the Program-Specific Written Entrance Exam (NACC Programs)
- Applicants will have one attempt to complete the selection If you change you program, you will be required to complete the selection process again.
- Selection is done continuously and will continue until the program is Apply and complete all steps early for the best chance of getting a seat.
- Program start dates published by the College are indicative and subject to change based on cohort formation, fulfillment of admissions requirements, and completion of required tuition payments or funding approvals.
The College reserves the right to adjust program start dates to accommodate operational and cohort requirements, and applicants will be notified of any changes in advance.
Contract Signing
Prior to enrolment, applicants must attend an enrolment contract signing appointment where the following information is reviewed:
- Program information
- Tuition and fee structure
- Attendance and academic requirements
- Placement expectations
- Student rights and responsibilities
- Student withdraw and refund policies
- Student consent/waiver forms
Upon completion of the enrolment process, applicants will be provided with an electronic copy of the signed Enrolment Contract.
Student Orientation
All newly admitted students are required to attend a program orientation session prior to or on the first day of classes.
Orientation includes:
- Introduction to the College and program
- Learning Management System (LMS) access and training
- Assessment submission procedures
- Attendance monitoring expectations
- Academic progress requirements
- Student responsibilities related to OSAP funding (if applicable)
Students with Disability
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA)
CACC embraces the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and is committed to expanding its access and support to all students, and visitors with disabilities, by having a goal of providing a barrier-free learning environment to enable academic and employment success.
The Act requires careful consideration of all applicants with a disability seeking education and placement. The act also requires that accommodations be provided to the disabled person when proven to be reasonable. It also supports identifying essential field placement functions that may be used with other selection criteria in screening potential applicants for a professional curriculum or field placement.
CACC is committed to supporting students with disabilities and medical conditions. Accommodations are available for students with acceptable written documentation of their functional limitations.
Students are strongly encouraged to meet the Program Coordinator to discuss program accommodation requirements before applying.
The program requires testing before an admission decision is made. Students may contact their Program Coordinator well in advance before the assessment date to ensure arrangements are made for test accommodations.
Students with a documented disability, such as a learning disability, medical or mental health condition, physical, visual, hearing, or mobility impairment, may qualify for test accommodations.
Financial Aid
The College Financial Aid officers offer the following support to assist students in funding their education:
- Students residing in Ontario with Canadian Status may apply for the Ontario Student Assistant Program (OSAP) at the same time when they use and register for their enrolment in their program. For details, visit the OSAP website for the most up-to-date information available to students. https://osap.gov.on.ca.
- Students may pay for their funds in
- Students may apply for a student line of credit from a bank or other financial institution. The College will provide the necessary documents to support the loan application
Financial Aid Process
Students seeking financial assistance through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) must meet with the Financial Aid Officer (FAO).
The Financial Aid Officer will explain:
- The OSAP application process
- Grant and loan components
- Academic progress requirements
- Student responsibilities related to funding
Admissions staff provide program information only. Financial aid eligibility is determined by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, not by the College.
Financial Aid Pending Situations
Where financial aid approval has not been received by the one month mark after the program start date, students may choose one of the following options:
· Option 1 – Wait for Funding Approval
The student’s enrolment may be deferred to a future intake.
· Option 2 – Begin Program While Approval Is Pending
Students who begin their program prior to funding approval and are two to three months within the program must acknowledge their financial responsibility and discuss with the college an ideal payment plan. If payment plan is not an option then withdrawal of the enrolment contract is in effect.
Communication During the Selection Process
Email is the primary source of communication during the selection process. Students must ensure their email account is managed appropriately to receive Canadian All Care College contacts.
Communications sent by the College will be considered delivered once sent, and applicants remain responsible for complying with all instructions and deadlines, even if an email message is missed or not reviewed.
Students are responsible for updating college when their residential address changes.
Clinical or Field Placement
An essential component of some academic programs is experiential learning through clinical or field practice relevant to the program. To ensure high standards and quality educational offerings which will permit students maximum opportunities to achieve learning objectives, CACC reserves the right to place students in an organization or a combination of organizations it determines to be appropriate.
In compliance with the practicum agreements with our clinical partners, students will be required to provide proof of a current Health Care Provider Level (C) CPR, VVS, and Immunization Record, including Covid-19 proof of vaccination, three months before the practicum start date. Specific Admissions Procedures
Conditional Entry
Applicants with a history of disrupted education, exclusion, or behavioural problems may be offered a place under conditions outlined to the applicant at the time of the offer. A decision to admit an applicant under these conditions is at the discretion of the President.
Admission of Students previously expelled from CACC
Students who have been previously expelled from the College must have evidence that they have addressed the issues which led to their exclusion and may be admitted subject to probationary conditions, which will be outlined to the applicant at the time of the offer. Admitting an applicant under such circumstances will require approval from the President.
Admissions of Students with Unsatisfactory References
- The College reserves the right to request references and/or school reports for all applicants. The President will review unsatisfactory references. A decision to admit an applicant with unsatisfactory references will require the approval of the President.
- Applicants previously excluded from any other educational institution may be required to attend an additional interview to allow the College to access any additional needs.
Students who withdrew or did not complete the program
The College reserves the right not to admit an applicant who previously attended the College but failed to make a sufficient effort towards completing their studies.
Rejection of Admission
Canadian All Care College is committed to providing a fair and transparent admissions process. While we strive to admit as many qualified candidates as possible, there are circumstances under which an application may be rejected. The following reasons outline the criteria for rejection:
- Failure to Meet Minimum Requirements: Applications will be rejected if they do not meet the minimum academic, language proficiency, or other prerequisites set for the respective program. These requirements are detailed in the program-specific admission criteria.
- Submission of Incomplete or Inaccurate Information: Inaccurate or incomplete application materials may lead to rejection. Applicants are encouraged to provide accurate and truthful information throughout the application process.
- Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct: Applicants who engage in plagiarism or academic misconduct in their application materials, such as personal statements or essays, will be subject to rejection.
- Violations of College Policies: Applications from candidates with a history of violations of college policies, including academic integrity, may be rejected.
- Over-Subscription of Programs: In cases where a program has reached its maximum enrollment capacity, qualified applicants may be placed on a waitlist or may need to reapply for the next available intake.
- Failure to Pay Required Fees: Failure to pay application fees or tuition deposits within the stipulated deadlines may result in rejection.
- Space Limitations: Due to limited space in certain programs, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. In such cases, qualified applicants may be waitlisted or encouraged to apply for the next available intake.
- Inconsistent or Unprofessional Conduct: Canadian All Care College expects all applicants to demonstrate professional and respectful behavior throughout the admissions process. Any conduct deemed inconsistent with these values may lead to rejection.
Applicants who are rejected will be notified promptly and provided with specific reasons for the decision. The College is committed to maintaining confidentiality in the handling of all application materials.
Applicants have the right to appeal a rejection decision as outlined in the “Admissions Appeal Process” section of this policy.

Outstanding Debts
The College reserves the right to refuse admission to an applicant who has outstanding debts to the College.
Data Protection and Confidentiality
All students’ data is held securely. Information can be shared with a third party only with the applicant’s consent, in conjunction with the College’s Privacy Policy.
Admission Appeals
To understand admission denial, an applicant may file an appeal in writing for the program coordinator, which will then be processed and sent to the President. A committee consisting of the President, Program Coordinator and Admission Coordinator will review the appeal and get back to the applicant with a decision.
CACC will provide training and resources to employees and individuals associated with the organization to ensure compliance with this policy. CACC will periodically review and update this policy to ensure its continued relevance and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Failure to comply with the policy may result in disciplinary action in accordance with CACC`s procedures and applicable laws. In case of any disputes, updated printed copies of CACC policies will take precedence over the policies published on our website.
